DeadEye was born when Nathan was noticing the ugly guns on his SWAT team (he's the Commander of West-Central S.W.A.T.). His spray painted guns weren't exactly pretty. Knowing there had to be a better process for camouflaging his team's weapons, he researched and found the hydrographics process.

Nathan approached Mike (his brother-in-law) and Anthony (his brother) and both were interested. Mike, ever the entrepreneur, is always excited about a business opportunity...the more challenging, the better. One of the first challenges was where to do our “dipping”. Mike offered up his old calf barn which we converted into our main shop. Ironically, Anthony had gone to community college for auto body and had worked in the industry for 10 years. Pretty handy to have a “Body Man” in the family.

With Mike's business acumen and Anthony's painting expertise and Nathan's weapons knowledge we were determined to build a business. After dipping our first items in a cattle tank and wasting time and money, we came to the conclusion that we weren’t as smart as we thought and figured that we better get some school'n before we killed each other.

Several trainings and seven years later we are confident in our process. DeadEye has since expanded our line of coatings to include Cerakote™, Moly and Teflon along with vehicle restoration and hydrographics. With certifications from TWN Industries, Cerakote™ and Martin Senour Paints, we are serious about the work we do—though we insist on having fun while doing it.
